Guest Blogger {Still Being Molly}

Hello there! I'm back:) Well, I'm not really back yet but I do have a few posts lined up from some of my favorite bloggers. It wouldn't be such a great community if I didn't spread some blog lovin. First up is one of the most genuine and real bloggers out there. She writes a blog about style, includes genuine reviews, posts recipes and talks about money (very few bloggers tackle that subject). Honestly, I love reading her blog because it's very down to earth and has a lot of ideas for day to day life. Make sure to check it our and come back soon. Take it away girl!

Hey everyone! My name is Molly and I blog over at Still Being Molly! I am so excited to be guest posting for Anna today!

peplum top, red jeans, Sseko sandals, Nickel and Suede earrings, The Mighty River Project bag

I am a HUGE fan of colored denim, but ESPECIALLY my red denim! My pair of red denim is easily one of my most-worn items in my closet. I wear them all year long! I've had people ask me, "How do you wear red denim? And how do you wear it in the summer?" The answer is EASY! Any which way you want! Red is such a fun color that you can easily pair it with other bold colors or prints, or tone it down with neutrals! Here are two ways in which I have worn red denim from summer to winter!

Winter / Fall style | red jeans, black and white graphic blouse, denim jacket | North Carolina Fashion Blogger (2)
OUTFIT TWO: Red Jeans: Stitch Fix (similar) | Denim Jacket: Belk c/o (similar) | Scarf: World Market | Graphic Blouse: Stitch Fix (similar) | Clutch: Stitch Fix | Earrings: Stitch Fix (gift) (love these) | Watch: Vierra Watches c/o (use code "BEINGMOLLY" for 10% off your order!) | Shoes: TOMS for Target (similar)
NOW AND THEN:

then and now | red jeans What about you? Do you love red or colored denim, too? How do you like to wear it? Thank you again to Anna for having me today!

And that's all for today!

Mother's Day Inspiration {Irina :: Bond Girl Glam}

Hello there! Today we have Irina of Bond Girl Glam is giving us hew take on the meaning of motherhood. She is a beauty and has Bond girl flare (hence the name of her blog). I love her new motherhood role and how magnificent she is at it. Her baby girl is beyond adorable and I love seeing her outfit photos on her blog. Plus her birthing experience is so close to mine, I feel like on some level we connected over that. Take it away girl!

Introduce yourself and describe your motherhood situation.
I’m a first-time mom to a baby girl named Vienna.  My husband and I will be celebrating our 5th anniversary in a couple days, so we waited almost 5 years to have our first baby; it felt like the perfect amount of time to have to ourselves, and now we can’t imagine life any other way. I have been exclusively breastfeeding since the beginning (about 5 months), and I can’t wait to introduce solids in the next month.  We hope to have at least 2 children eventually.

What does motherhood mean to you?  Motherhood to me means guiding a little person so that they can learn to guide themselves and help others.  It also means forever being a source of love and comfort for that little person.

What's your favorite part about being a mother?  My favorite part of being a mother is watching all the little milestones happen in front of my eyes.

What is the hardest part of being a mom? I dislike how fast everything passes, but it also makes me try to live in the moment.

What is your number one goal for your children?  I hope my children remember their childhood with absolute fondness.  I hope they learn to feel confident, be infinitely curious, and feel incredibly grateful for everything that comes their way.

Is there anything else you would like to add?  You are enough and are doing enough, mama!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Winter Style w/ Willfully Elegant

Today we have Sush from Willfully Elegant blog who has a very classic sense of style and approaches every outfit with a sense of ease. Let's see what's her go-to winter basics!

Hello everybody. It’s a pleasure to guest post today at the Happy Medley. Anna approached me with an awesome idea, an idea that I hold true to my style, year around. That idea is very basic. Well let me explain. Irrespective of summer, fall, winter or spring, I swear by a set of basic outfit pieces that have always been true and trusted in my wardrobe. Given that its reigning winter in most of the US, I will of course be talking about my winter basics. And the one thing I use repeatedly throughout the winter months are my turtle neck layering tees. I have invested in multiple different colors so as to be able to wear them with just about any outfit. The turtle necks I wear are snug on me so as to not add any extra bulk when layering. The other piece I rely on during the brutal winter months are my fleece lined tights. Everyone who lives in a colder place must own one. It is comfortable enough for me to want to live in it and non-itchy for a whole days’ worth of wear to work.

In this outfit, I chose to wear a spring dress with both of my go to winter basics. Keeping it simple with a bright cross body, I completed this look with leg warmers and a pair of riding boots. Here is a simple how to, to avoid any layering pieces to scrunch up throughout the day. Even it out and tuck it into your tights. This way, not only is the bulk due to layering is hidden, so is any chance of the layering top making its way up.

I also use them as transitional outfits during fall. They are perfect for the extra warmth during those chilly nights. I choose to wear them tucked in or leave it out depending on the outfit style I am going for. As you can see, the outfit below is heavily menswear inspired and the one below it is pretty feminine with the translucent top over the grey turtle neck.

Thank you Anna for letting me into your creative space and for letting me share my go to winter basic pieces.

Thank you for stopping by!

Winter Style w/ The Brandied Pair

Hello lovelies! This week I have a whole range of different styles from amazing style bloggers. I think we all get bored of seeing same old, same old so check out how these ladies style their winter favorites - from scarves and hats to simple blouses. Hope you enjoy it!

Blouse: JCrewDenim: JCrewPumps: JCrewHandbag: Agora Vintage
I am so excited to be guest posting for Anna.  She is one of my favorite up and coming bloggers.  We actually have a lot in common, our love of classic shapes and styles dominate most of our looks.  So when she contacted me about posting in her "Winter Basics" series, I was very excited.

I live in Georgia and don't really experience "hard winters."  My winter basics typically include, fabulous denim, blouses and classic jackets.  On this particular day, it was 50+ degrees meaning I nixed the jacket.  In my opinion though, blouses and denim are necessities for winter.  Whether you layer with a sweater and scarf or you go without, a basic classic look can be created with these ultra feminine pieces.

Finding Motherhood Along Abbey Road {Guest Post}

Once the pregnancy is over and you have done all those things to make sure your baby is healthy, and actually gone through all the trials and tribulations of labor, you get to hold your bundle of joy. It's an emotional, confusing, exciting, scary and joyous time.
Here is Abbey from Along Abbey Road blog and her first motherhood experience.

Hello, there! I am Abbey from Along Abbey Road. I am so happy to be here while Anna is loving on that precious little babe of hers!

Babies are miraculous, complex beings. Babies are also tiring and testing beings. I remember that first moment I sat on the couch with Luke, just the two of us. Both Matt's mom and my own had made their rounds teaching us their best-practiced mothering skills and Matt reluctantly went back to work, tired, worn, and learning to adjust to this new world (bless that ole' chap's heart).

There sat this helpless, wrinkly, perfect human in my arms. I was terrified and thrilled all in the same moment. I already knew him from the kicks, flutters, and rolls we shared those last 10 months, but now he was really there. Tears flooded my eyes that we had been blessed to rear and direct this amazing soul.

I will never forget the feel of Luke's silky almost translucent skin. The smell of his tiny body curled up under my chin. The softly pleading and adorable cry. The way he reached up his tiny, 1-inch hand to mine while he fed, reassuring me that I was his favorite and most-needed person in the world.

Those are the moments that we mothers live for.
Congratulations, Anna! So excited for you to create your own loving memories with your beautiful baby boy!
